What This Is
This tool provides easy access to U.S. Census American Community Survey (ACS) data with
historical comparisons and trend analysis. View demographic, economic, and housing data
at national, state, county, and census tract levels. The Table History feature tracks
field definitions and highlights measure changes over time.
Data Sources
- ACS-5: U.S. Census Bureau 5-year estimates (most reliable, covers all geographies)
- ACS-1: U.S. Census Bureau 1-year estimates (most current, limited to larger areas)
- SAIPE: Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates (state, county, school district levels)
How to Use
- Select your geography (state, county, or census tract)
- Enter a field code or click "Find ACS-5 Field" to search for specific measures
- Click "Pull Data" to view charts and tables with 5-year historical trends
- Use "Table History" to see all fields in a table and track definition changes over time
